Spectators are always Welcome and encouraged to
ask questions!
Located off Woodruff Rd. just inside Spartanburg County on HWY 417. WCRC is easy
to get to and close to Simpsonville, Woodruff, Spartanburg, and Greenville.
If you are looking for a Friendly place to fly or learn to fly, WCRC is for you.
At Western Carolina Radio Control (WCRC) we enjoy the fellowship as much as the
flying. If you are a AMA Pilot and visiting the area drop by the field and fly
with us. WCRC averages 100 members, not all fly, and is always open to new
memberships.
Learn to Fly!!
During the summer months, Instructors are at the field, every Tuesday Afternoon
(5:00pm), ready to train you how to fly. If you have an Airplane or Helicopter
you are having difficulties with, bring it out to the field and we will help you
safely get it in the air.
If you are considering this hobby we recommend you join the AMA. The AMA
provides insurance for you and good information about the hobby. You can read
more about the AMA on there website: www.modelaircraft.org. An AMA license is
required to fly at most fields.
Wondering what Airplane or Helicopter to start with? Want to know more
